Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Welfare of Animals & Population Control Trust (WAPCT), we value your trust and support in our mission of animal welfare and rescue work. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms for refunds and cancellations related to donations, sponsorships, and other activities. By engaging with our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

Donations

General Donation Policy

All donations made to WAPCT are final and non-refundable. As a charitable trust, donations are used to support ongoing animal rescue, treatment, and welfare activities.

Why Donations Are Non-Refundable

• Donations are utilized promptly for rescue, treatment, and sterilization work
• Tax-related implications may apply (once an 80G receipt is issued)
• Donations are treated as voluntary contributions

Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds may be considered only in rare cases such as:

• Duplicate payment due to technical error
• Incorrect amount debited
• Unauthorized transaction
• Multiple deductions due to system error

👉 Requests must be made within 7 days of the transaction with proper proof.

Animal Sponsorship

If you sponsor the treatment or care of a specific rescued animal:

• Sponsorship is non-refundable once confirmed
• If the sponsorship cannot be fulfilled for any reason (e.g. the animal passes away), the remaining amount will be used towards the care of another animal in need, unless the donor provides other instructions

Awareness Events & Adoption Drives

Cancellation by Participant

For any paid workshop or event registration:

• 15+ days before the event: 75% refund
• 7–15 days before the event: 50% refund
• Less than 7 days: No refund

Cancellation by WAPCT

If we cancel or reschedule an event, you will be offered one of the following:

• A full refund, or
• Transfer to the next event, or
• Credit for future participation

Refund Process

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please:

• Email us at aries_anubhav@hotmail.com
• Provide the transaction ID / receipt
• Mention the reason clearly
• Attach supporting proof (if required)

We will respond within 3–5 business days.

Refund Method

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method:

• UPI: 3–5 business days
• Bank Transfer: 5–7 business days

Processing Charges

Payment gateway or transaction charges (if applicable) may be deducted from the refund amount, unless the error is from our side.

Important Notes

• Refund decisions are subject to internal review
• Partial refunds may be issued based on case evaluation
• Any bank charges during a refund will be borne by the user
